
Remote Kougarok River Gold Claims for Sale(AK) 4 miles of continuous Alaskan State mining claims on the Kougarok river for sale....86 miles north of Nome, AK on a good gravel road ...then 5 miles of cat trail or ATV trail to lower end of claims.....most of this river was bucket lined dredged about 100 years ago. Bed rock averages about 6' deep and is a decomposed shist. These claims are virgin from modern suction dredging. We currently have 8.5 miles of this river claimed which is way too much for us to dredge in our lifetime. The gold is coarse with our biggest nugget at 7oz 7dwt (see picture) averages more like half a 'rice krispy'. This river has a very rich history "the gold was spotty but where it was found was extremely rich"...The claims are fairly easy to access if you are familiar driving an ATV. There are several large benches that carry colors. One bench seems extremely good but would need more exploration before committing to an equipment operation. The only bucket line dredge still running in Alaska ,far as I know (Tweet Family) is running up stream from us (side pond of main river).
